No wise person sings when the northern
lights ride the sky; the cold spirits, believing they are mocked, will
sweep the singer away. But Aurora’s father, a young scientist, was
smarter than he was wise. Snatched and seduced by one of the sky
spirits, he emerged years later with knowledge of the aurora phenomenon
which was far beyond his time – and a toddler metahuman daughter.
Over the years, Aurora learned to |
pass between the boundary separating her mother’s
world from her father’s and to use the celestial powers of her mother’s
kin. But being part human, the spirit world never felt like home
to her, and she could never pass for full human – nor did she wish to.
Convinced at last by her aging father of
the need mankind has for her talents, she chose to come to Paragon City
to use the gifts of Sky’s Children for the benefit – and punishment – of
mankind.
