Felix Radkin graduated near the top of
his class in medical school. He could have been a plastic surgeon
- famous and rich. Instead, he chose to go into one of the most dangerous
careers a doctor can face - working as a field medic with super-heroes.
During the Rikti war, he served as a medic,
going into 'battle' armed with a super advanced med kit, using what ever
he had at hand to get the job done. After the meteors landed |
in Bloody Bay, he spent most of his time trying
to help the citizens caught between the battling massive radioactive monsters,
super-heroes and villains. While tending a hero that had been skewered
by a stalker who had shoved a katana through his kidney and fled, one of
the radioactive monsters known as a shivan took interest, having risen
from the nearby meteorite. The blast hit Dr. Radkin and his medkit.
The explosion threw Dr. Radkin over 20 feet, knocking him out. What
Felix didn't know at the time was the bulk of the blast had fed back into
the shivan, disrupting it, causing it and the metorite to blow apart into
a rain of radioactive energy.
When he came to, Dr. Radkin's hands had
been crushed, effectively ending his career as a surgeon. But, the
hero community pulled together and had him sent to the best cyberneticists
in Paragon City. Though his new hands are not quite as as good as
his old ones, his combination of medical knowledge and a rather interesting
side effect from the explosion still let him serve well. Now able
to controls kinetics and the radiation that cause his change, Felix Radkin
works to master his talents so he can remain a combat medic, only in a
much different way.
