EMPATHY'S REQUIEM

Registered Name:  Empathy's Requiem Secret Identity:  Nicole Tousseau Moore/Apihelion Origin:  Science Archetype:  Warshade Primary Power Set:  Umbral Blast Secondary Power Set:  Umbral Aura A Nictus wanting to atone for her past, Apihelion came to Earth during the Rikti War to follow the example of Shadowstar, Warshade leader and part of an ancient sisterhood.  For months, she followed the battlefields secretly, seeking a female host who would best fit into that sisterhood.  She found what she sought in Nicole Moore: a wife, a mother and a superheroine descended from a long line of magically talented women.

A well-known defender, Nicole (aka Empathy) was protecting a hospital evacuation during the Rikti's devastating assault on Baumton.  The patients survived.  The rest of the SOLUS Collective, including her husband Eric, did not.  Though severely injured, Nicole was still alive when the hospital collapsed, burying her beneath her best friend, Capt. Superior.  Api teleported Nicole to a pocket dimension for safety and merged with her, saving her life.

Nicole recovered and returned to Paragon City - no longer a defender, no longer sure what was left of her life, but determined to rebuild what she could.  Fate was kinder than one might think, reuniting her with friends, her son, and even her husband in a way, until a trap meant for someone else took it all away...again.
