Born to a Fire-gifted family, Lina Lindstrom
was stolen from her home by black market mutant dealers when she was ten.
When the labs wouldn't take her, the dealers recouped their losses by selling
her to a touring European freak show, where she was billed as a summoned
fire spirit.
As non-humanoid aliens became more common,
however, oddities like Lina no longer drew crowds. Tired of supporting
a non-attraction, the freakshow owner abandoned the |
now-teenage Lina in a New York City
train station while on tour. Fortunately for Lina, she encountered
a kindly semi-retired tanker superheroine returning to Paragon City, who
took Lina under her wing when attempts to find Lina's family in Rikti-destroyed
Stockholm proved fruitless.
After her mentor's retirement, Lina took
up the mantle of crimefighting, though she continues her search for those
she has lost with the help of MAGI.
