The Life Actuated Duplicate, series Y serial
number 976654 started life as one of a long line of Nemesis android front
robots. Like most of her kind, she operated within tight parameters
and programmed phrases. However, this particular unit began to discover
things it shouldn’t have, like the ability to think for itself. In
time, the error probably would have been corrected had fate not intervened
in the form of the Rikti.

The original Rikiti invasion destroyed her
front company, heavily damaged her, and destroyed the False Nemesis Controller
that would have eventually reset her memory files. In a burst of
creativity she shouldn’t have been capable of, she rebuilt herself, applying
flairs of style she shouldn’t have been capable of. In the process,
she used pieces of the destroyed False Nemesis controller to fill in for
her own damage, including memory files, system logs, and the key to her
newfound abilities, a nemesis staff, replacing her original, standard weapon.
Completed, she settled back to await further
orders which never came. It is supposed by the experts on the subject,
that Nemesis had simply written off the facilities as destroyed.
In the process, she showed a unique emotion for the first time, curiosity.
In exploration, and witnessing the aftermath of the war, she wandered about,
and came to an insight even further out of her standard programming - people
matter, and the weak need to be defended from those who would abuse that
power. Thus, L.A.D.Y. 976654 found her new purpose.
In time, she served with the X women until
their eventual dissolution. She next joined the SOLUS foundation,
whose core philosophies she believes most emulate her own. It is
not known at this time what the effects of her damaged programming and
systems will be, and how much of the original Nemesis system commands remain.
