Chris Simpson had been a cop for twenty-five years.  His last promotion, to Lieutenant, stuck him behind a desk and added a nice chunk to his retirement account.  It also bored him to tears.  When his wife was given the opportunity to go to work for a lucrative law firm in Paragon City, she didn’t have to twist his arm to get him to retire.

After a few months of "the sweet life," he realized there was still more to life than playing video games, trout 
fishing, and being a house-husband.  He tried following up on a hobby he'd always wanted to learn and spend quite a bit of time learning swordplay with a Rhode Island Society for Creative Anachronism group. But fighting mock battles in renaissance festivals just wasn't his cup of tea.  Deciding he decided he’d had enough of retirement, he took his skills with him and registered as a hero, figuring it would give him more exercise.  

He’s only now realizing just how much exercise there is to be had.
