Captain Maryse a’Nouren of Beta Cygani-V
is a rising young star and weapons expert in the peacekeeping arm of the
Sentient Planetary Union. Her task: To find ways to beef up crimefighting
techniques on some of the lower-tech Earth derived colonies in the Union.
While on her way to Terra (Earth) and the Paragon City of the future to
study the superhero crimefighting model, Maryse’s superluminary transport
suffered a programming malfunction and set her down in the Paragon City
of |
today – but, to her, a city of the past.
Khledian Dark Sun was sent as a partner
for and Earth investigator to be trained in extra-Terran crimefighting.
Upon her arrival, however, her partner’s wife forced him to withdraw from
the program, leaving her without a host.
Maryse volunteered to replace the
lost host, on the condition that the Kheldian would aid and support her
own efforts. As the joined entity Stardusk, Maryse and Dark Sun now
work together to clean the city and beyond.
